Physical Properties

• Solubility: Soluble in water, presenting a bright red color; slightly soluble in ethanol, showing an orange color; insoluble in acetone. It appears bright red to magenta in concentrated sulfuric acid, and turns to brownish orange after dilution; an orange-yellow precipitate forms in concentrated nitric acid; it is insoluble in concentrated sodium hydroxide solution; and it shows a bright red color in concentrated ammonia water.
